About The Position

Cottonwood Springs is a behavioral health hospital located in Olathe, KS, part of the greater Kansas City metropolitan area. We provide inpatient and outpatient programming for those facing mental health and addiction challenges. Our programs offer caring, compassionate treatment for adults (18+) and include inpatient mental health and addiction treatment and detox, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Proof of insurance when using personal or hospital owned vehicle.
• CPR certification within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact.
• Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact.
• Completion of additional age specific training within 30 days of employment as required.
• Previous experience in a psychiatric health facility preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Support the therapeutic milieu under the direction of the RN.
• Ensure that the schedule/program is consistently delivered.
• Supervise patients and maintain safety.
• Treat patients and guests with respect and dignity.
