About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Behavioral Health Support Front Desk professional to manage the front office of our busy behavioral clinic in Detroit, MI (62 W. Seven Mile Road). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic, providing exceptional customer service to clients, and supporting our clinical team. The candidate must be bilingual in English and Arabic to effectively communicate with our diverse client base.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Arabic
  • Previous experience in a medical or behavioral health office setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using computers, databases, and EHR systems.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification processes.

Responsibilities

  • Front Desk Management: Serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, managing the reception area with a professional and welcoming demeanor.
  • Phone Handling: Answer and direct incoming phone calls, provide information about services, and handle client inquiries efficiently and courteously.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify client insurance information and update records as necessary to ensure accurate billing and service delivery.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule intake appointments for clinical therapists, managing the clinic calendar to maximize efficiency and minimize wait times.
  • Database Navigation: Proficiently navigate and manage multiple databases and electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain client information, appointment scheduling, and other administrative tasks.
  • Client Support: Assist clients with the intake process, including completing necessary paperwork and providing information about clinic services.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform a variety of clerical duties, including filing, faxing, and scanning documents, as well as maintaining office supplies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical staff to ensure seamless communication and support for client care and clinic operations.
