About The Position
As a Behavioral Healthcare Specialist you will provide direct patient care to geriatric, adult, adolescent, or child patients with psychiatric disorders; to ensure the safety and well-being of these patients; to support the maintenance of therapeutic milieu. Pay Range: $21/hr. to $30/hr. Available Shifts: Full Time: PM Shift (3:00 P.M. to 11:30 P.M.) and NOC Shift: (11:00 P.M. to 7:30 A.M.) Part Time: NOC Shift: (11:00 P.M. to 7:30 A.M.)
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- BLS (Basic Life Support ) Certification for Healthcare - American Heart Association
- 1 year Behavioral Healthcare experience HIGHLY preferred
Nice To Haves
- 1 year Behavioral Healthcare experience HIGHLY preferred
Responsibilities
- Participate in input and follow through with regard to treatment planning
- Observe and identify patient’s problems, needs and strengths, and suggest treatment plan modifications
- Provide input on and implement patient discharge plans
- Accompany and transport patients as assigned
- Facilitate patient community meetings
- Maintain patient unit and related documentation
- Admit new patients to the unit, program and milieu
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment for patients
- Assists patients with daily living activities consistent with treatment plans
- Carry out administrative and clerical assignments to support patient care, and organizational operations
