About The Position

This is a full-time hybrid opportunity at our Milwaukee office. Behavioral Health Specialist Job Responsibilities: Teams Resource - ConsultationConducts comprehensive Behavioral Health assessments, makes recommendations, provides technical assistance and assists the IDT staff in monitoring member outcomes. Completes member assessments, and recommends positive supports and interventions. Educates and trains IDT staff members in care provision for complex members. Technical assistance is also provided to IDT staff when restrictive measures, waiver applications and/or other rights limitations/denials are part of a member’s plan. Treatment CoordinationAssists IDT staff with coordinating inpatient psychiatric treatment, discharge planning, member transitions and relocations, contracted provider care, evaluation of provider care, and assessments and planning for members admitted to IMDs and State Centers. Assists the IDT staff in developing less restrictive member plans and moving towards member rights restoration. Monitoring BH Utilization and Quality - CoordinatorMeets regularly with the Behavioral Health Manager to review complex cases, develop and refine policies and procedures, and monitor utilization of psychiatric/mental health and related specialized services. Completes documentation as required. Provides written reports as requested. Behavioral Health Specialist Job Requirements: Education: Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling required

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling required
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in providing behavioral health services. For example, provision of BH case management or BH service coordination; or provision of individual psychotherapy/counseling.

Nice To Haves

  • Behavioral Health/Mental Health/Substance Use Disorders experience, including provision of case management services to older adults and adults who are physically and developmentally disabled preferred.
  • Experience in development of behavior support plans for older adults and adults living with physical and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Experience in BH consultation/teaching preferred.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC): Preferred.
  • Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor in Training (LPC-IT): Preferred.
