About The Position

Be the First Point of Care as a Behavioral Health Scheduler Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours weekly. As a Behavioral Health Scheduler , you’ll play a vital role in supporting our clients' access to timely, person-centered behavioral health services. As the first voice many of our clients hear, you’ll help create a welcoming experience—ensuring appointments are scheduled accurately, client information is up to date, and communication flows seamlessly between team members. Requirements

  • High School/GED preferred
  • Excel at communicating clearly and kindly, especially over the phone
  • Stay calm and organized in a high-call-volume setting
  • Are detail-oriented and confident working across multiple systems and screens
  • Value teamwork and collaboration with clinical and administrative staff
  • Take pride in delivering an excellent experience for every client
  • Bring a positive, professional attitude and a commitment to helping others

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with behavioral health scheduling preferred
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Answer high volume of incoming calls and assist clients with scheduling, rescheduling, and general inquiries
  • Schedule appointments for multiple behavioral health providers across various locations
  • Verify and update client information, including contact details and insurance
  • Explain the Open Access process to clients seeking to begin services
  • Accurately document call details and update the care team accordingly
  • Coordinate interpreters when needed for scheduled appointments
  • Follow up with clients who missed appointments to assist with rescheduling
  • Manage Psychiatry Provider schedule changes, cancellations, and backfilling appointments
  • Collaborate with front desk and department staff to ensure scheduling accuracy
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA compliance at all times
