Inova Fairfax Hospital has several openings for dedicated Behavioral Health Safety Coach to join the behavioral health team. We have openings for full-time and part-time roles with varies shifts and schedule to include weekends, evenings and nights generally working 12 hours. Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of relevant clinical work experience
- Basic Life Support required upon start
- Vistelar required within 6 Months of hire
Nice To Haves
- Psychiatry, Mental Health and Behavioral Health background
- Prior de-escalation training/experience
Responsibilities
- Facilitates the debrief of a safety event or safety concern.
- Participates in safety meetings and serve on the workplace violence committee.
- Educates, trains, and mentors Clinical Technicians and Mental Health Technicians on aspects of safety incident reporting.
- Disseminates and delivers safety messaging as appropriate to the organization.
- Provides direct care to patients under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
