The Behavioral Health RN - Triage position at ThedaCare is a vital role within the outpatient behavioral health nurse triage team. This position is designed to support outpatient psychiatric providers through effective phone-based communication with patients. The RN will assist with medication questions and refills, as well as address general patient needs, thereby creating a comprehensive care system for patients participating in psychiatric care. The RN Clinical Nurse (Ambulatory) is responsible for providing patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum of care through an interdisciplinary approach that includes treatment, research, education, and advocacy. In this role, the RN will be accountable for delivering compassionate and safe care as defined by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and ThedaCare policy. The position emphasizes collaborative practice with care team members to ensure patient outcomes meet the high quality of care standards set by ThedaCare. The RN will also promote a culture of innovation and a commitment to professional growth and development within the nursing practice at ThedaCare. Key responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practices to assess patients' physical conditions and nursing needs, developing collaborative care plans, and demonstrating clinical expertise in the assigned specialty. The RN will work to improve patient experiences, streamline care processes, and enhance satisfaction for patients, families, and team members. Additionally, the RN will maintain positive relationships with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, proactively manage risks, and perform effectively in life-threatening emergencies.
