About The Position

The Behavioral Health Research Assistant is involved in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of behavioral health data across multiple service lines. This role assists in the preparation and execution of research protocols, working closely with principal investigators and other researchers to provide needed information and keep records and databases up to date. The assistant also aids in the journal submission process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in lieu of education.
  • Previous research experience and knowledge of statistics.
  • Experience in behavioral health or a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, think critically, and problem solve.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proactive and able to make routine decisions independently.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks and Meditech preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Research findings related to behavioral health projects and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Review current research in relation to pediatric behavioral health.
  • Assist in developing research projects, including data needed, collection methods, and IRB process.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to support data collection for projects.
  • Create literature reviews of potential resources.
  • Create surveys and other assessment materials using Microsoft and other technology.
  • Maintain and update forms and documents for projects, including surveys or patient consent forms.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data related to ongoing research studies.
  • Analyze data using statistical software.
  • Collaborate across departments to build out needed templates and reports for access to data.
  • Assist in writing research papers for submission to journals.
  • Demonstrate good written communication skills; write documents and reports clearly, concisely, and grammatically correct.
  • Aid in the journal submission process.
