The clinical nurse is a registered professional nurse who is responsible for providing safe, competent, quality care to a designated group of patients based on established standards and evidenced based practice. Requirements

• Current NYS Registered Nurse License
• BLS certified
• Two years' experience as an RN preferred but not required
• Hours: Daytime, one evening per week, Fridays and available on weekends
• Chronic Care Management
• Ability and willingness to drive to all locations as needed based on the health center needs
• Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with others and works effectively to solve problems and issues
• Ability to read, write, understand and speak English in a clear and concise manner
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform a variety of clinical procedures relevant to practice area
• Ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards
• Ability to use basic electronic data entry and retrieval system
• Experience with Electronic Medical Software
• Eligible to Work in the US

Responsibilities

• RN functions including vitals, rooming, injections
• Care management
• Extend psychiatrists with coordination of appointments, outside appointment facilitating, etc.
• Complete health assessments
• Patient medication education per psych guidance
• Supports the vision, mission, philosophy and goals of the Department of Nursing and Refuah Health.
• Maintains professional competence by keeping abreast with current knowledge of nursing practice and standards of care.
• Demonstrates appreciation for life-long learning and a spirit of inquiry through actions and encourages other co-workers to do the same.
• Functions as a professional role model and preceptor for new hires, and other staff.
• Projects a professional image and maintains a positive attitude.
• Participates in the prevention, identification and correction of potential and actual risk management issues.
• Participates actively in staff development programs, departmental committees, and other community initiatives.
• Promotes positive consumer interactions and acts as a patient advocate by upholding the Patient Bill of Rights.
• Protects patient’s privacy and confidentiality at all times.
