About The Position
Behavioral Health Professional assist adults with behavioral health concerns, living in the community, develop independent living skills and self-help skills by providing ongoing instruction/training, guidance, and modeling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
- Two (2) years’ experience providing services to individuals with serious emotional disturbances: OR certified in an Evidence Based Practice.
- Valid New York State driver’s license that meets the Agency’s driving policy and dependable transportation
- Functional knowledge of basic computer applications (i.e. word-processing, e-mail)
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as needed
- Demonstrate patience, understanding, sensitivity and respect to children and families including regarding cultural/value/lifestyle differences
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and effective communication
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of community crisis resources and response services
- Experience in collaboration within a community System of Care
- Experience supporting individuals in education and employment
