About The Position

The Behavioral Health Patient Care Navigator I (PCN) plays a crucial role at Mary’s Center by providing the first line of customer service interaction with participants for the entire behavioral organization. It requires the ability to converse with the public in a culturally humble way to ease the participant’s access to care. The Behavioral Health Patient Care Navigator (PCN) is to collect demographic, and insurance related information required prior to service delivery. Bilingual Spanish language required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical or behavioral health office setting desired.

Responsibilities

  • Greet & welcome patients, visitors, and others to Mary’s Center.
  • Facilitate a positive and efficient office environment by modeling professional performance and conduct.
  • Communicate pertinent information to participants and Behavioral Health clinic team members.
  • Adhere to all Mary’s Center’s confidentiality & HIPAA policies.
  • Assess care affordability and assist enrollment in insurance or discount programs.
  • Coordinate care and services for patients.
  • Complete insurance verification, reminder calls, mail/fax requests, scheduling, annual consent updates for all assigned providers.
  • Assure efficient operations in the registration and billing processes by retrieving and tracking all participant copays/payments at assigned Behavioral Health site location and/or through virtual work.
  • Implement clinical questionnaires and surveys in preparation for participant care.
  • Maintain, coordinate, and organize participant records in eClinical Works (eCW).
  • Prepare and maintain the participant waiting/care area.
  • Assist Open Access Intake windows by registering participants, providing and collecting paperwork, and monitoring virtual and in-person waiting rooms.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
