About The Position

BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.

Requirements

• Must be an RN with strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with outpatient nursing protocols and policies/guidelines.
• Ability to organize data and reports.
• Skill with scheduling and collaborating with other departments.
• Nursing clinical background.
• Experience with outpatient mental health/psychiatric clients.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree - Nursing.
• 5-10 years of supervisory experience.
• LCSW or LPC certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs operations and integrates services within the work unit and with other departments.
• Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed.
• Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
• Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets.
• Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
• Oversees administration and management of various programs.
