About The Position

It's more than a career, it's a calling MO-SSM Health 7980 Clayton RD Worker Type: PRN Job Highlights: This is a PRN-Night Shift (as needed) position to fill in for open shifts due to vacations, leave of absences, etc. No guaranteed hours or benefits. The candidate is required to attend orientation as follows- Full Time-Monday-Friday from 9:00AM-5:00PM for approximately 4 weeks Transition to the floor for another 4 weeks for 12 hours shifts (some flexibility) Variable day or night shifts. The location for this position is 7980 Clayton Road Richmond Heights, MO Minimum of 24 hours per month is required No weekends or holidays. Job Summary: Conducts interviews and behavioral health assessments for potential admissions including telehealth assessments.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Behavioral Health or related field

Responsibilities

• Provides admissions and intake services to patients and potential patients.
• Responds to telephone inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.
• Facilitates admission of in-patients and out-patients based on physician orders.
• Coordinates transportation to another facility and/or referral to a lower level of care as indicated.
• Documents calls and related admission information.
• May staff crisis hotline as needed.
• Reviews all paperwork accompanying patients to ensure adherence to hospital and regulatory policies.
• Performs insurance verification and prior-authorization based on payor requirements.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
