About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for Erlanger Behavioral Health Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Erlanger Behavioral Health Hospital offers mental health care to all life stages including adolescents to senior adults. New and experienced dietitians are encouraged to apply! The position is full-time and requires the development and implementation of medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care.

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian with a License in Tennessee, or the ability to obtain
• Competency and skills required for professional practice
• Ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision, and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment
• Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
• For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
• Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
• Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care
• Provide education to patients and families
• Provide staff education to ensure the safe management and care of clients and families
• Serve as preceptor to dietetic interns
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during team conferences to recommend, implement, and monitor nutrition interventions
• Work 2-3 weekend days per year
