About The Position

As a Crisis Therapist, you will conduct crisis mental health and substance abuse evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide 24-hour emergency resources to individuals in central Indiana. Your role will involve collaborating with a team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and community involvement to enhance care delivery.

Requirements

  • LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LCAC in the State of Indiana required.
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience providing mental health treatment required.

Nice To Haves

  • Past experience in crisis triage and management, risk assessments, and working with mental health and chemically dependent populations preferred.
  • Experience in medical milieu preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct crisis mental health and substance abuse evaluations for consumers.
  • Evaluate biopsychosocial status and needs for the development of an appropriate treatment/crisis plan.
  • Provide 24-hour mental health/substance abuse emergency resources to persons in central Indiana.
  • Triage patients accurately and efficiently in various settings (Pavilion, ER, medical unit).
  • Determine level of care and assess risk for each patient presenting as 'in crisis'.
  • Conduct crisis intervention and support services to consumers of all ages.
  • Coordinate direct admissions between patients' providers, inpatient psychiatrists, and inpatient units.
  • Maintain documentation for all crisis and case management services, including social, psychiatric, and medical histories.
  • Provide offsite and community-based response and consultation services to medical units as needed.
  • Screen for acute care services including partial, outpatient, and case management.
  • Provide psychiatric coverage to Network Emergency departments and other departments as needed.
