Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related mental health field is required. Must be registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT). A valid California Driver's License is required. First Aid certification from an American Red Cross-approved agency or equivalent is required. How you will make a difference: This position assesses clients at start of treatment (reviews as needed), develops and maintains treatment plans, and conducts family collateral and discharge planning. Duties include discussing goals and objectives of proposed treatment plans and establishing a contract with the consumer. Interviewing consumers to team with mental health professionals in determining the needs of individuals or groups on a walk-in/telephone basis; respond to potential suicide or other emergency events. Visit clients, individually or as part of a team, in a variety of living situations, to help assess the mental health needs of individuals and families, observe progress, provide counseling, gather data, and report significant changes in the client's condition to designated professional staff. Division/Program Overview: The Valley Star Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) is a voluntary, 24/7 facility that provides rapid mental health assessments and crisis intervention in an unlocked setting. Open to all age groups, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, the center is designed to support anyone experiencing an immediate mental health crisis with a stay of up to 23 hours. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law. Requirements
