Requirements

  • Master's degree and license in Social Work preferred with 3 years or 6000 hours related work experience.
  • Licensed in good standing in the State of Michigan as a Mental Health Professional
  • Minimum 2 years mental health experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the treatment of Mental Health Disorders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in substance use dependency treatment concepts and applications with focus on evidence-based practices.
  • LLMSW - Limited Licesne will also be considered.
  • Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
  • MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer experience with co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance use disorders).
  • ICRC-certified or certifiable chemical dependency counselor and/or licensed preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individualized treatment to patients and their families through assessment, diagnosis, planning, education, intervention, discharge planning and evaluation of outcomes.
  • Conducts didactic and treatment group and individual sessions.
  • Demonstrates competency through the annual competency assessment, customer evaluation, clinical staff dialogue, performance appraisals and staff education.
  • Documents application of the treatment process focusing on outcome criteria in accordance with hospital, departmental and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Communicates with other members of the health care team through case reviews to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services.
