Requirements

Master's degree and license in Social Work preferred with 3 years or 6000 hours related work experience.
Licensed in good standing in the State of Michigan as a Mental Health Professional
Minimum 2 years mental health experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the treatment of Mental Health Disorders.
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in substance use dependency treatment concepts and applications with focus on evidence-based practices.
LLMSW - Limited Licesne will also be considered.
Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.

Nice To Haves

Prefer experience with co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance use disorders).
ICRC-certified or certifiable chemical dependency counselor and/or licensed preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides individualized treatment to patients and their families through assessment, diagnosis, planning, education, intervention, discharge planning and evaluation of outcomes.
Conducts didactic and treatment group and individual sessions.
Demonstrates competency through the annual competency assessment, customer evaluation, clinical staff dialogue, performance appraisals and staff education.
Documents application of the treatment process focusing on outcome criteria in accordance with hospital, departmental and regulatory agency requirements.
Communicates with other members of the health care team through case reviews to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services.
