About The Position

The Full-Time Behavioral Health Counselor will provide on-site daily supervision and essential coverage to consumers in a community residential group home program. This role involves assisting consumers with their personal care goals, providing medication education, and observing their self-administration of prescribed medications. The counselor will also perform crisis intervention services as needed and report all consumer concerns to the group home manager. Additionally, participation in the development of consumer activities is required, encouraging consumers to engage in all social, recreational, and therapeutic activities.

Requirements

• BSW in social work, BS/BA in psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or a related field
• BA in unrelated field with two years of previous experience
• AA with two years of experience in mental health/human services
• Valid New Jersey driver's license
