The Behavioral Health Coordinator takes incoming calls, outgoing calls, and conducts basic assessments of members. This is high volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient, productive and thorough dealing with our members over the phone.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of managed care or case management experience
  • Experience working within the healthcare industry and with health insurance
  • Experience working in a hospital, physician's office, or medical clinic setting
  • A clerical or administrative support background
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
  • Experience working in a call center

Responsibilities

  • Manage administrative intake of members
  • Assign Cases
  • Outbound calls to members who are diagnosed with Behavioral Health needs and provide coverage to inbound calls for case management
  • Perform assessments via phone
  • Provide behavioral health benefit education
  • Assists enrollees with understanding and locating community support services and outpatient behavioral health resources
  • Escalates cases to clinical team partners
  • Other duties as assigned
