About The Position

Provide psychotherapeutic services including individual, family and group treatment for children, adolescents and/or young adults. Principal Accountabilities: Conduct initial biopsychosocial assessments for pediatric aged patients seeking behavioral health services. Along with patient, and potential parent/guardian, develop treatment plans, including clear problem statement, treatment goal(s), with measurable, relevant objectives for a range of behavioral health concerns. Able to provide individual, group, and family therapy services. Collaborate with other mental health professionals to coordinate care. Complete and analyze evidenced based screening tools and assessments. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation records. Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current on best practices in the field of behavioral health. Advocate for patients and assist them in accessing community resources. Complete all mandatory AHS trainings and competencies as assigned. Qualifications Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field State licensure required (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) or license-eligible with active supervision. Prior experience with pediatric population (children, adolescents and/or young adults) Ability to work 2 evenings per week. Bilingual a plus Competencies - Demonstrates ability to conduct biopsychosocial assessments, screens effectively for suicide and violence risk as well as abuse and neglect. Develops individualized treatment plans with measurable, patient centered goals, utilizes evidence based therapeutic approaches appropriate to the presenting problem(s). Can build rapport and trust quickly with a range of patients, uses active listening skills, reflective statements and nonjudgemental language, conveys understanding and acceptance without reinforcing maladaptive behaviors. Maintains clear, timely and accurate clinical notes that meet legal and departmental standards, manages caseload effectively. Upholds professional ethical standards, maintains appropriate boundaries and therapeutic relationships.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field
  • State licensure required (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) or license-eligible with active supervision.
  • Prior experience with pediatric population (children, adolescents and/or young adults)
  • Ability to work 2 evenings per week.
