Consider a role as a behavioral health clinician integrated into a family medicine practice. This is a 24-hour position with benefits, located at the Parkview Family Medicine practice in Brunswick. This practice is well versed in integrating behavioral health into the patient experience. They value partnerships with behavioral health clinicians and work collaboratively to optimize patient outcomes. Being integrated into a practice reduces stigma for patients, increasing their willingness to participate in care. The clinician's role includes providing screening, assessments, and focused brief treatment to patients of the practice. Treatment structure includes individual, family, and group work. Additional functions of the role include providing curbside consultation to providers, linking patients to additional services and supports, and participating in population health activities that targets the health and wellbeing of specific groups of people. Summary The role of Behavioral Health Clinician II, working under an independent license, involves providing comprehensive care and support to clients with behavioral health needs. The key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or related field
  • Licensed LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT from the respective licensing board of the State of Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR)
  • At least two years of behavioral health experience including employment as a conditionally licensed clinician.
