About The Position

MaineHealth is offering a position for a Behavioral Health Professional - Clinical, with a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for eligible clinicians. This full-time role requires a Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). The position is based at MaineHealth Medical Center Portland's Pediatric and Internal Medicine Clinic, where the clinician will integrate behavioral health services into primary care settings. Responsibilities include providing screening, assessments, and brief focused treatment to patients, as well as connecting them with additional resources and participating in population health activities. The clinician will work with patients of all ages and collaborate with a medical team and other integrated clinicians.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or related field.
  • Licensed LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT from the State of Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR).
  • At least two years of behavioral health experience, including employment as a conditionally licensed clinician.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients with behavioral health needs.
  • Provide direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Integrate behavioral health services into primary care settings.
  • Provide screening, assessments, and brief focused treatment to patients.
  • Connect patients with additional resources and provide consultations to providers.
  • Participate in population health activities targeting specific groups.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other clinicians.
  • Engage in individual supervision, psychiatry consultation, group supervision, and quarterly trainings.
