About The Position

Responsible for providing short-term psychotherapeutic services including individual, marital, family and group treatment. The position involves conducting initial biopsychosocial assessments for patients seeking behavioral health services to determine the need for treatment of behavioral issues. The role includes completing and analyzing evidence-based screening tools and assessments, providing individual, group, and family counseling for patients, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with patients. The position also requires evaluating patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary, participating in ongoing professional development activities, and advocating for patients to assist them in accessing community resources.

Requirements

  • MA degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
  • State licensure required (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) or license-eligible with active supervision.
  • Previous clinical/counseling experience in an outpatient setting preferred.
  • Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial biopsychosocial assessments for patients seeking behavioral health services.
  • Complete and analyze evidence-based screening tools and assessments.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling for patients.
  • Develop treatment plans for patients, including clear problem statements and measurable objectives.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals to coordinate care.
  • Complete required documentation and charting of patient encounters in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
  • Meet with supervisor for clinical supervision.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care.
  • Advocate for patients and assist them in accessing community resources.
  • Complete all mandatory AHS trainings and competencies as assigned.
