Requirements

  • Education: A nursing degree from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: An active and valid RN license in North Dakota.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of hospital or clinical nursing experience is preferred, with a strong interest or background in psychiatry/behavioral health being a plus!
  • Skills: Solid basic clinical skills, the ability to remain calm and effective in various situations, and a commitment to completing nonviolent crisis intervention training within six months.
  • Team Spirit: Excellent communication skills, a knack for building positive relationships, and a deep respect for patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Guiding Care: Apply the nursing process to develop and execute personalized care plans that promote positive patient outcomes.
  • Empathetic Education: Serve as an educator and resource for patients, families, and colleagues, sharing vital health information in an understandable and compassionate way.
  • Clinical Excellence: Perform thorough vital sign assessments, comprehensive nursing assessments, and accurate medication reconciliations.
  • Team Support: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with clinical duties and ensure smooth medication refill processes.
  • Accurate Documentation: Maintain precise and timely patient records, contributing to a seamless care continuum.
