We also have comprehensive leadership and technical development academies to help build your skills and capabilities.  SummaryHMS is seeking a Behavioral Health Claims Team Lead to oversee the activities of the Claims Specialists team to help support our Alaska Medicaid client. The Behavioral Health Claims Team Lead works with Claims Supervisor and other leads in Claims Processing area in reporting inventories and strategizing process improvements. They assist in setting goals for the teams and monitor daily productivity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years experience of leading a small team
  • Experience working with claims; experience working with client services.
  • Behavioral health experience strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership skills, organization skills to independently balance and prioritize work, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with personnel; strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use MS Office, including Excel spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews daily production reports
  • Reports any production issues to Claims Supervisor
  • Assigns daily work to Claims Specialists
  • Assists employees with claims processing questions and issues
  • Creates corporate required reports
  • Is a first point of contact for claims processing questions from other departments
  • Oversees the training of the new Claims Specialists
  • Performs quality analysis of Claims Specialists daily production
  • Creates quality analysis reports
  • Assist Claims Supervisor in creating employee improvement plan for Claims Specialists as needed
  • Assists in creating and approves changes or operating procedures for the team
