ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operates in close collaboration with physicians and other health care personnel in patient evaluation and treatment to further their understanding of significant social and emotional factors underlying the patient's behavioral/mental health problem. Assists in assessing participants for continuing treatment needs, prepares patient histories, discharges, and creates treatment plan of care. Assists in assessing patient needs and develops appropriate dispositional plans and coordinates care with the appropriate departments. Maintains strong communication and relationship with staff (interdepartmental and within program) and Psychiatrists. Secondarily, works in close collaboration with physicians and other health care personnel in patient evaluation and treatment to further their understanding of significant social and emotional factors underlying patient's health problem. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in mental health or behavioral health field. Working toward a higher degree and/or licensure is preferred.
