At Denali Family Services, we serve children who require intensive behavioral health care services and support for their families. Our organization offers individual, family, and group psychotherapy services in combination with intensive care coordination and individualized support across various settings. The Behavioral Health Associate Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing a team of five to seven Behavioral Health Associates, ensuring that they function effectively as a team while providing comprehensive client services. This position requires collaboration with the School Based Director, Clinicians, and Case Managers to implement clinical treatment plans effectively. The work environment is dynamic, as it may include the agency's main office, schools, and community settings. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining positive working relationships with various agencies and school district personnel, all while supporting the agency's mission to provide mental health rehabilitative services to clients diagnosed as Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED) and their families. The Behavioral Health Associate Supervisor is tasked with hiring, training, and mentoring both new and existing employees. They lead regular supervision meetings with assigned Behavioral Health Associates and coordinate with the School Based Director and Scheduler regarding staff assignments, schedules, and attendance. The supervisor also plays a vital role in planning, implementing, and evaluating school break programs, coaching Behavioral Health Associates in developing therapeutic relationships with clients, and providing necessary training on life skills and documentation procedures. Monitoring the progress of required training and ensuring timely and quality documentation of client interactions are also key responsibilities. The supervisor will work closely with the School Based Director to conduct employee evaluations and assist Behavioral Health Associates in becoming effective members of treatment teams. Additionally, they will develop and implement therapeutic activities, monitor the quality of client notes, and ensure compliance with agency policies and federal laws regarding client confidentiality.
