About The Position

This is a Per Diem role at Bayside Marin, where shifts are determined by the leadership. The primary responsibility is to provide personal care services to patients under the direction of the Director of Program Management or Milieu Managers. The role requires a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and satisfaction. Compensation for this role in California ranges from $24.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on various factors such as location, role, skill set, and experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
  • CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
  • First aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency related to patient safety and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure the well-being of patients and maintain a positive, supportive, and structured environment.
  • Conduct safety checks and ensure supervision at 15-minute intervals as per guidelines.
  • Document timely and accurate clinical information in patients' medical records.
  • Assist in providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
  • Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
  • Oversee or assist patients with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, and meals.
  • Obtain and document patients' vital signs, height, and weight as assigned.
  • Facilitate patient educational-rehabilitative groups on various topics.
  • Engage patients in activities to encourage achievement of treatment goals.
  • Complete and maintain required documentation and assist with incident follow-up paperwork.
  • Provide or coordinate transportation for patients as needed.
  • Acknowledge and resolve patient complaints, prioritizing patient safety.
