Requirements

  • High School/GED or better is required.
  • Prefer one year experience in a psychiatric setting.
  • Bachelors or better in Psychology is preferred.
  • Safety Minded: Novice level required.
  • Attention to Detail: Novice level required.
  • Customer Focus: Advanced level required.
  • Communication: Advanced level required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive and structured environment.
  • Conduct safety checks and ensure supervision at 15-minute intervals as per guidelines.
  • Document timely, accurate, and appropriate clinical information in patient's medical records.
  • Assist in providing a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
  • Interact routinely with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to nursing staff.
  • Oversee or assist patients with activities of daily living, including toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, and meals.
  • Obtain and document patient's vital signs, height, and weight as assigned.
  • Facilitate patient educational-rehabilitative groups covering various topics.
  • Engage patients in activities designed to encourage achievement of treatment goals.
  • Complete and maintain required documentation and assist with incident follow-up paperwork.
