About The Position

The Behavioral Health/Justice Liaison Supervisor reports to the Manager of Justice Initiatives and is responsible as assigned and under general direction for supervising Behavioral Health/Justice Liaison staff who represent Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN) interests through participation in local, state, and federal collaborative activities to develop/refine policy and procedures that will further community integration, create efficiencies and share resources to ensure the best outcomes for those we serve.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a mental health field.
  • LLP, LP, LMSW, LPC, LMFT
  • Knowledge of public mental health service delivery systems in Oakland County.
  • Knowledge of OCHN substance use, mental health, children’s’, and intellectual/developmental disability provider network, and how to access additional community services.
  • Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience in areas such as community mental health and substance use disorder service delivery and program facilitation.
  • Experience with justice – involved individuals and/or justice system.
  • Knowledge of Michigan Mental Health Code
  • Knowledge of public mental health service delivery systems in Oakland County
  • Knowledge of OCHN substance use, mental health, children, and intellectual/developmental disability provider network, and how to access additional community services.
  • Knowledge of LOCUS, CALOCUS, CAFAS and ASAM PPC preferred.
  • Knowledge of substantial functional limitations.
  • Demonstrated effective negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must have available means of transportation to and from OCHN and for required offsite meetings or site visits.
  • Must be available for meetings and events which may occur outside of standard office hours.
  • Work performed primarily in an office environment.
  • Hybrid (onsite/remote) work schedule available.

Nice To Haves

  • CAADC, CADC, CCS, CPS, CPC-R, CCDP or development plan preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs administrative and supervisory duties in the planning and coordination of community collaboration and justice activities within the Justice Initiatives Team.
  • Provides direction and clinical supervision to individual employees on the Justice Initiatives team.
  • Assures adequate orientation for new employees.
  • Ensure that the staff schedule and configuration will meet the needs and demands of the people served/community partners and adjust it accordingly.
  • Routinely review job assignments and utilization of staff. Utilizes the Performance Management process.
  • Demonstrates an applied commitment to the values, knowledge, and skills in consumer-oriented practices as well as innovations in support, service, treatment, and care practices.
  • Supports the development of OCHN interests through participation in local, state, and federal collaborative activities to develop/refine policies and procedures that will further community integration, create efficiencies and share resources to ensure the best outcomes for those we serve.
  • Coordinates attainment of goal outcomes in the areas identified within the OCHN Strategic and Annual plan.
  • Facilitate and maintain open, ongoing, effective, value-added, transparent collaborative efforts.
  • Tracks and reports monthly data and provides regular summaries on collaborative assignments Based on stakeholder and community input as well as rcollaborationctices, and applicable surveying; leads in the development of new/refined collaborative procedures, programs, project proposals, and/or grants which enhance the collaboration and improve outcomes for those we serve.
  • Recommends OCHN action to improve collaborative procedures.
  • Participates in OCHN contract management efforts, providing timely, standardized reports and analysis, educating about collaborative efforts, working with OCHN Service Network and contract staff to ensure appropriate Core Provider and Community Collaborative Partner contracts/amendments.
  • Provides back-up to applicable manager and other Liaison staff.
  • Develops standard and ad hoc reports.
  • Creates and maintains accurate, organized, and complete planning and project files.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
