About The Position

The position requires the candidate to work in parallel with the clinical policy teams that cover the mental health/ substance use disorder services and the intellectual developmental disability service array. The candidate should possess the ability to create and analyze data interpretation for fiscal impact, access to service, high utilization or low utilization of services for system service delivery within the Behavioral Health team units for all Medicaid programs. The person should demonstrate the ability to have a working knowledge of Healthcare Common Procedure Coding Systems, (HCPCS), Current Procedural Terminology, (CPT), and taxonomies. Must have the ability to manage and coordinate inter-agency work-groups and follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures. Must supervise up to 3 full time staff for their day-to-day operations on the Behavioral Health team. Experience with working with claims reprocessing and denials along with encounters is warranted.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Healthcare Common Procedure Coding Systems, (HCPCS)
  • Working knowledge of Current Procedural Terminology, (CPT)
  • Working knowledge of taxonomies
  • Experience with working with claims reprocessing and denials along with encounters
  • Master's degree in the area of assignment from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in a closely related program; or Bachelor's degree in the area of assignment field from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of experience in a closely related program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with managing the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of Medicaid programs, services and policies related to Medicaid funded Behavioral Health services, for mental Health and/or substance use disorder and Intellectual Developmental Disability service array.
