About The Position

As a Behavioral Health Advisor at Community Services Group, Inc., you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with mental health diagnoses to live more independently and adjust to life in the community. This position focuses on integrating recovery and resiliency philosophies into the support provided to clients, helping them develop self-directed care and community involvement. You will work closely with individuals to create and implement personalized treatment and recovery plans, while also promoting their independence and interdependence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Access to a reliable vehicle for transportation to appointments and trainings.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and implementation of each individual's Treatment/Support/Recovery Plan.
• Assist individuals in managing symptoms of their mental illness and establishing their own recovery plan.
• Help individuals develop skills necessary for living independently in the community.
• Utilize community resources to promote community integration and independence.
• Communicate and cooperate with the on-site team, individuals' families, and involved agencies.
• Provide support in arranging medical care and follow health care recommendations.
• Prepare meals and encourage adherence to dietary guidelines.
• Model and support team members in task completion and training.
• Conduct fire drills and manage emergency situations during assigned shifts.
• Assist individuals in monitoring and/or administering medications.
• Learn and model the principles of trauma-informed care.
• Promote cultural, racial, language, and gender access, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
