Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring for a Companion Caregiver to provide services to patients/clients in their places of residence. The position offers competitive pay and weekly paychecks, along with various health benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, HSA, and PTO. The salary is set at $22 - $23 per hour, with all trainings and compensable time paid at local minimum wage.

  • Provides 'hands off' care such as encouraging socialization.
  • Encourages a mild exercise program.
  • Encourages medication compliance through timely reminders to take medications.
  • Supervises the safety of the patient/client when bathing, toileting, and dressing.
  • Assists with grocery shopping and performs light housekeeping chores.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary.
  • Arrives at the client's home on time and leaves when shift schedule is complete.
  • Performs all duties in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Companion Care Homemaker/Companion Care Provider preferred.
  • Ability to carry out tasks in a professional manner and adhere to policies regarding professionalism and boundaries preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a compassionate nature and possess strong interpersonal skills preferred.
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong communication skills preferred.
  • Proficiency in the English language is required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
