Requirements

  • Must have completed free CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification course or be able to complete within 6 months of hire... For more information: https://www.nj.gov/dcf/providers/csc/training/
  • Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or related field.
  • 2-4 years experience in behavioral healthcare (maladaptive behaviors).
  • 2-4 years experience working with children with disabilities (developmental/intellectual disabilities, mental illness).
  • Valid NJ Driver’s license and proof of car insurance.
  • Consent to and pass State/Federal Criminal Background Checks.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor H-1B or other employment visas at this time.

Responsibilities

  • A BA will visit the client at home or in the community to provide relief to caregivers and holistic support to youth.
  • Our BA’s typically work 2-20 hours weekly in 2-4 hour shifts starting after 3:00pm during the school year and as early as 8:30am during the summer. Services are available any day of the week to accommodate the scheduling needs of our clients.
  • Individual Support Plan development and implementation
  • Delivery and monitoring of behavior analysis services
  • Submission of weekly clinical progress notes, within 24 hours of service provision Intake Data Assessments
  • Data collection and display (e.g., graphics) as authorized by a recipient’s behavioral analysis service plan
  • Compliance with service authorization, including time frames and service hours
  • Implement interventions in the Individual Support Plan
  • Implementation of behavioral procedures for the acquisition of replacement skills reduction of problematic behaviors
  • Carry out treatment as designated by the supervising behavior analyst which includes:
  • Facilitating environmental arrangements.
  • Using proactive strategies.
  • Teaching and developing new skills.
  • Managing specific consequences for behavior based on function.
  • Must be willing to work with the child or youth to increase ADL (Assisted Daily Living) skills within their home as well as during community outings.
  • Assist parent/guardian in the implementation of the treatment plan.
  • Assist the behavior analyst in the training of caregivers and/or staff.
  • Crisis prevention, recognition, and intervention.
  • Ensure all agency policies are implemented and followed.
  • Participate in required training.
