Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA) is dedicated to providing engaging community-based social and recreational programs for individuals of all ages with special needs. The Behavior Training and Staffing Supervisor will play a crucial role within the Inclusion team, reporting directly to the Inclusion Manager. This position focuses on delivering effective staffing solutions while emphasizing behavior training to create a collaborative and productive atmosphere for both staff and participants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing behavior training programs that enhance the skills of staff working with individuals with disabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of therapeutic recreation principles and the ability to apply these in real-world settings. The Behavior Training and Staffing Supervisor will also be tasked with assessing staffing needs, recruiting qualified personnel, and ensuring that all staff members are adequately trained to meet the diverse needs of the community. This position is not only about managing staff but also about fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. Candidates for this position must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field from an accredited institution. Additionally, a minimum of three years of experience working with individuals with disabilities is required. Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and/or as a Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) is preferred, or candidates should have the ability to obtain these certifications.
