About The Position

The Behavior Therapy Assistant position at Easterseals of Southeastern Pennsylvania is a full-time role focused on supporting behavior and educational services for young children with severe and complex disabilities. The assistant will implement strategies from Positive Behavior Support Plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS). This role is critical in expanding Positive Behavior Supports within the organization, providing direct instruction based on Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior principles.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in a related field required.
• Experience working with children with disabilities and/or challenging behavior preferred.
• CPR/First aid certification preferred.
• Reliable transportation is required for possible travel to additional school sites.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
• Familiarity with Verbal Behavior (VB) principles.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategies outlined in Positive Behavior Support Plans.
• Provide direct instruction based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior (ABA/VB).
• Support classroom teachers in an assistant role as needed.
• Demonstrate flexibility in serving one student at a time or assisting in a classroom setting.
