About The Position

Theracare Connecticut provides exceptional behavioral health services to children and young adults (ages 1-21), specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technicians to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve. Position Overview As a Behavior Technician at Theracare Connecticut, you will work directly with children and young adults, primarily in home settings, with occasional assignments in daycares. You will implement behavior intervention plans, promote skill development, and collect data to track client progress. Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree or higher is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with youth (ages 1-21), especially in behavioral health, special education, or related fields.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, enthusiasm , and the ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and a treatment team.
  • Other: Willingness to complete 40-hour RBT training and commit to ongoing professional development.

  • Associate’s degree or higher is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Provide 1:1 therapy to youth (ages 1-21) primarily in home settings, with occasional assignments in schools and daycares.
  • Collect and track data on client progress and behavior.
  • Reinforce skills in socialization, communication, daily living, and academic tasks.
  • Communicate regularly with families and caregivers to ensure consistency and progress.
  • Participate in regular supervision and training sessions with a BCBA.
