About The Position

Registered Behavior Technician Reports to: Clinical Coordinator, supported by BCBA; position is non-exempt We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans for children with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental challenges. Your commitment to providing high-quality behavioral therapy will be instrumental in helping our clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. Behavioral Consulting of Tampa Bay (BCOTB) has been serving Tampa as the leading provider of pediatric ABA therapy since 2003. Founded, owned, and operated by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, BCOTB operates four clinic locations across the Tampa area to best cater to Tampa's early intervention ABA therapy needs. Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or a related field is a plus.
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with active certification or ability to obtain within 30-days
  • We offer the 40-hour RBT course online and training to earn the full RBT certification
  • Part-time availability (20-30 hours), primarily Monday - Friday and rotating Saturday mornings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior intervention plans developed by the BCBA, including positive reinforcement techniques and data collection.
  • Work one-on-one with clients in various settings, including homes, schools, and community environments.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust strategies as needed while following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of client behavior and progress.
  • Collaborate with families and other team members to provide consistent support and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Uphold the ethical guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
