Behavior Therapist / Registered Behavior Technician Axis is seeking part-time behavior therapists. As a direct support professional with Axis for Autism, you work with skilled Clinical Supervisors (BCBA) as you interact directly with your clients in clinic, home, school and community settings to implement established behavioral treatment plans based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implementing evidence-based treatment plans may involve decreasing maladaptive behaviors, teaching adaptive skills, communication skills, self-care skills, and social skills to improve an individual’s quality of life. Your Role at Axis for Autism: Passionate about helping others succeed and thrive (experience not required — we’ll pay for training and help you get RBT certified! Provide direct client care in one-on-one and group settings in clinic and home settings. A compassionate approach to care with the flexibility to roll with changes to meet the needs of our clients. Follow behavior reduction and behavioral skill acquisition protocols. Consistently implement treatment plans under BCBA supervision. Collect, record and summarize data on observable client’s behavior. Ensure that client’s session notes are entered into the medical records on a timely basis and in accordance with established organizational procedures. Effectively communicate with caregivers and /or school personnel regarding client progress as instructed by supervising clinician. Assists supervising clinician with preparation of client materials, behavior reduction assessments, and skills acquisition. Regularly engage with supervisor and management to provide pertinent feedback regarding client sessions, and request support. Comfortable using different technologies and software programs, as well as data collection applications. Understand and adhere to HIPAA policies.
