About The Position

Entry-level position with PAID training and certification provided Location: Mountain House, CA Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour, pay increase after you get your RBT certification! Job Type: PART-TIME, afternoon availability. Preference is given to candidates with availability 2:00-8:00pm Work Setting: Home-based care Schedule: Monday to Sunday If you love working with children and want a meaningful career, this role is a great fit for you! We’re hiring entry-level candidates as well as certified Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who are ready to grow their careers. WHAT YOU’LL DO As a Behavior Technician at BTS, you’ll work 1:1 with children with autism or developmental delays to build communication, social, play, and daily living skills through structured, play-based activities. Sessions take place in the child’s home, clinic, or school, lasting 2–3 hours. Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, preferably in an ABA or behavioral health setting. Relevant direct-care experience, including supporting children with neurodiverse needs or caring for a family member in a similar capacity, will also be thoughtfully considered.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for working with children
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
  • Reliability and a willingness to work with a variety of clients
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • This job requires reliable transportation and a driver's license.
  • If using your vehicle for work, we will need an auto insurance policy with your name on it. In the absence of a driver's license, you will have to submit a government-issued ID.
  • This job requires a CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding)
  • This job requires a TB test (within 90 days), MMR & Varicella Immunization and a Pre-employment Physical (within the past year).
  • This job requires a background check (FBI & DOJ)

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish-speaking is highly preferred
  • Experience with children or individuals with disabilities is a plus, but not required
  • Highly preferred: Current student or recent graduate in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Sociology, Biology, or related field.
  • RBT certification is a plus, but we will cover the cost of obtaining it!
  • Experience with children is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering one-on-one behavior support through fun, individualized activities
  • Implementing behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
  • Collecting and recording data on client progress accurately
  • Communicating regularly with families to provide updates and support
  • Participating in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions
