About The Position

In this vital role, you will support clinical staff by providing direct patient care, assisting with behavioral health interventions, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other behavioral needs. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working directly with children in educational, clinical, or therapeutic settings is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate approach will enable you to build trusting relationships with children and families alike.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder enhances your effectiveness in this role, preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the required 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician training course prior to their scheduled date of hire (minimum of 5 days to complete).
  • Receive general direction and work under the general guidance of the BCBA and clinical administration and collaborate with the supporting staff.
  • Support and assists with the completion of day-to-day therapy tasks and activities in accordance with applicable child treatment plan goals and objectives.
  • Observe and assists with the implementation of child’s treatment plans and group instructional activities.
  • Ensure assigned checklist tasks and activities are completed timely and appropriately.
  • Collect and record objective, measurable data in accordance with company protocols and BACB standards such as Session Note completion.
  • Follow all supervision requirements, including accepting feedback and participating in scheduled supervision sessions.
  • Gather, assemble, and organize materials in the therapy room, as appropriate.
  • Assist in observing and interpreting child activities while in the therapy room.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting of child learning progress.
  • Apply basic working knowledge and understanding of each child’s treatment plan skill acquisition short- and long-term goals and behavioral intervention plan (antecedent and proactive procedures).
  • Provide general feedback and updates to the BCBA, clinical administration, and supporting staff regarding therapy room activities, tasks, and general observations.
  • Adhere to and demonstrates appropriate childcare standards and practices, and consistently adheres to all company policies, procedures, and practices of Kaleidoscope Interventions. (Per Employee Handbook and company SOP’s).
  • Ensure a clean, safe, attractive, and functional learning environment.
  • Monitor children for signs of child abuse, and reports incidents of suspected abuse to appropriate staff (BCBA and clinical administration) and personnel immediately.
  • Attend meetings, events and seminars as required by Kaleidoscope Interventions.
  • Consistently demonstrate a high level of integrity, responsibility, accountability, teamwork, and ethics.
  • Assist RBT/BCaBA/BCBA with children who are not in problem behavior when other children are engaged in problem behavior.
  • Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required training.
  • Maintain client confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
