About The Position

Autism Center of Excellence is hiring a Behavior Technician (BT) to join our clinic team in Columbia, MD.
This position currently offers a part-time clinic schedule Monday–Friday from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM supporting children receiving Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.
As our clinic continues to grow and new clients begin services, this role has strong potential to increase to full-time hours for technicians who are interested in expanding their schedules.
Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with pediatric clients while implementing treatment plans developed by a supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role focuses on helping children build communication, social, and daily living skills through structured, evidence-based therapy.
This position is ideal for individuals interested in psychology, education, behavioral health, or child development who want meaningful hands-on experience working with children.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Reliable transportation
• Professional, dependable, and compassionate
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Nice To Haves

• RBT certification preferred but not required
• Experience working with children preferred
• Experience in ABA, childcare, education, or behavioral health is a plus
• BT candidates will receive paid training toward RBT certification

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy to pediatric clients
• Implement treatment plans developed by supervising BCBAs
• Support communication, social, and daily living skill development
• Collect and document behavioral data during sessions
• Follow behavior intervention and safety plans
• Collaborate with supervising clinicians and caregivers
• Maintain professional and timely session documentation
