About The Position

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Trainee, you will provide direct, 1:1 behavioral support to children with autism or other disabilities in their homes. Your role will involve implementing individualized behavioral programs, collecting data on client progress, and working closely with families to ensure a positive and supportive environment. This is a fantastic entry-level position for anyone interested in psychology, education, social work, therapy, or special education. You'll be making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families! We’ll pay you for your 40 hours of training, and once you pass the RBT exam, we’ll cover the cost! You’ll have access to online training, session overlaps, and hands-on support to help you prepare. Certification must be completed within 90 to 180 days of your start date.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, preferably in an ABA or behavioral health setting. Relevant direct-care experience, including supporting children with neurodiverse needs or caring for a family member in a similar capacity, will also be thoughtfully considered.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for working with children
  • RBT certification is a plus, but we will cover the cost of obtaining it! Or you have the desire to become RBT certified with our help!
  • CPR & First Aid Certification is required
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
  • Reliability and a willingness to work with a variety of clients
  • Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required is required
  • Availability to work a consistent schedule (afternoons/evenings with some weekend/morning availability)
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • This job requires commuting to clients' homes around your area.
  • This job requires reliable transportation and a driver's license.
  • If using your vehicle for work, we will need an auto insurance policy with your name on it. In the absence of a driver's license, you will have to submit a government-issued ID.
  • This job requires a criminal background check
  • This job requires a Physical (past year) and TB Test (past 90 days)
  • This job requires a valid CPR & First Aid Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish-speaking is a plus
  • Experience with children or individuals with disabilities is a plus, but not required
  • Behavioral knowledge/experience is preferred, but not necessary

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 behavior programs in clients' homes (training provided)
