Position Summary: The Behavioral Technician is responsible for day-to-day execution of the behavioral health plan and will provide individual treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder using Applied Behavior Analysis under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must complete Behavior Technician credential requirements within time frame set forth by BACB
Ability to accurately collect behavioral data
Ability to specifically follow an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) and a Behavior Support Plan (BSP) utilizing sound judgment and seeking out appropriate consultation when required.
Multi-tasking skills
Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills

Nice To Haves

Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder preferred

Responsibilities

Prepare various documentation as required
Understand and implement the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) as identified by the BCBA.
Observe, measure, and record behavior, identify progress and regression in a safe and supportive environment.
Prompt safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
Fades prompts appropriately to promote both successful and independent responding.
Assures that behavior change is long lasting and demonstrates that the interventions being used are responsible for behavior changes.
Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate consultation.
Collaborates with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment.
Educate parents on reinforcement and early intervention information.
Performs other duties as assigned.
