Position Overview: As a Behavior Technician , you will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your role will be to support skill development, promote positive behaviors, and help children reach their full potential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Must obtain Behavior Technician certification within the timeframe set by the BACB.
  • Strong ability to collect and record behavioral data accurately.
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to follow treatment plans and seek guidance when needed.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to making a difference.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans (ITPs) designed by a BCBA.
  • Collect and record data to monitor progress and effectiveness of interventions.
  • Encourage socially appropriate behaviors and communication skills.
  • Fade prompts appropriately to promote independence.
  • Ensure long-term behavior change through evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborate with families and team members to provide seamless support.
  • Educate parents on reinforcement strategies and the importance of early intervention.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
