Behavior Technician (Chicago, IL 60636)
About The Position
At ABC Pathways, we are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families affected by autism and other behavior disorders. Our mission is to provide high-quality evidence-based, family- centered therapies and family support based on the principles and practices of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Technicians typically start with a part-time caseload of about 20 hours per week, depending on the location, with potential to increase hours as opportunities arise. This position calls for a high-level of commitment and dedication to the required training, clients, and our high standards of excellence.
Requirements
- Strong communication and people skills
- Highly dependable and organized
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children (childcare, education, or similar fields)
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans created by a BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client behavior during therapy sessions.
- Monitor and document progress toward treatment goals.
- Provide reinforcement for positive behaviors.
- Communicate effectively with clients, parents, caregivers, and the BCBA.
- Maintain client confidentiality and follow ethical guidelines.
