About The Position

As a Behavior Therapist, you will provide one-on-one in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children. This role involves collecting behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions and conducting various teaching and reinforcement methods in line with the Behavior Support Plan. You will work collaboratively with a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy. The position offers a flexible schedule between 8 am and 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday, depending on clients' schedules.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or College Degree
  • Experience in childcare, healthcare, or mental health preferred (but training is available for the right candidate)
  • Dependability and reliability are crucial for the child's success
  • Integrity to work in the child's home without constant supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Positivity and patience for positive reinforcement and repetition

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while participating in team activities, meetings, and training
  • Ability to set and achieve goals that benefit the patient, the team, and the BT/RBT

  • Ability to pass a background screen, reference checks, and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Provide one on one in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy

  • Conduct Discrete Trials, Natural Environment Teaching, and various teaching/reinforcement methods in line with the Behavior Support Plan
  • Work collaboratively with a BCBA to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
