About The Position

Special School District (SSD) Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are assistants who work under the supervision of a board-certified behavior analyst to support students throughout St. Louis County. Through your diligent care, supervision, and encouragement, you will serve as a valued member of an educational team focused on providing behavior analytics services and practices to ensure students have what they need to thrive and feel empowered. If you are interested in pursuing a teaching position with our District, SSD offers tuition assistance and resources to ensure your success. Behavior Technicians work during school hours, Monday through Friday. The start and end times may vary depending on the building assignment. Occasional work after school hours may be required. Travel between buildings may be required. Assigned school and/or district may be adjusted based on ABA Therapy needs. This position will cover multiple schools from K-12. Requirements

  • Thirty-six hours of college credit required or completion of the Frontline Substitute Teacher Training as approved by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Behavior Technician certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board required
  • Substitute Certification through Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education required
