About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the assigned (Behavior Specialist) BCBA or BCaBA, candidate assists school staff with the implementation of approved behavior management plans for general education or special education students in the Santa Clara Unified School District. Implementation includes, but is not limited to, direct student service, staff training, data collection, and monitoring. Education and Qualifications: Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and three or more years of experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis techniques. Candidate must have willingness to become a Registered Behavior Technician through the availability of BACB required supervision from a District employed BCBA or BCaBA. Candidate must have knowledge of basic principles and techniques of positive behavior intervention and instruction, basics of principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, and experience working with children with behavioral and special education needs. Candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively with a behavior and teaching team to assist in implementing and modifying behavior 1management plans. Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary, as well as good oral and written communication skills, are essential. Must have a valid California Driver's license and a reliable means of transportation. Requirements
