Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
About The Position
Autism Center of Excellence is seeking an experienced Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism in the Colonial Heights, VA area. This is a full-time position for candidates with prior ABA experience who are seeking consistent hours, strong clinical support, and opportunities for long-term growth. All new hires are required to complete paid onboarding and training Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM during their first two weeks of employment, regardless of their long-term assigned schedule. Services are provided in home and community-based settings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience providing ABA services required
- Active RBT certification preferred for RBT applicants
- Full-time availability aligned with client schedules
- Availability to attend paid training Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM during the first two weeks of employment
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in home and community-based environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in active play
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and attention to detail
